Installation day has been scheduled for June 1 with initial planting on June 2.
Members of the community are invited to contribute to the LIVINGbridge by helping on Saturday to install various circular container gardens 6 ft and 10 ft in diameter out of rolled straw "wattles" and filling them with soil.
On Sunday, planting of the beds will begin. The center of each raised bed will be planted with indigenous and drought resistant plants, both ornamental and edible, leaving the perimeter of each bed for individuals to bring native plants of their own. Shrubs and vines will be planted along the outside edges of the bridge, attracting attention to the garden from below with lush greenery.
