We clean up good

Last night, as snow blanketed the LIVINGbridge, the team was only a few blocks away humbly accepting an Award of Excellence for Community Based Projects at the biennial Edmonton Urban Design Awards Gala. The ceremony took place on November 22 at City Hall and was attended by a room full of Edmonton's best designers, architects, planners, and visionaries.

The team felt honoured to be recognized among the leaders in Urban Design in the city. The night was a celebration of the hard work people have been doing to make this city a more interesting, livable, sustainable and healthy place to live. We'd like to thank the City of Edmonton for their recognition of our little garden as "a standout in the competition."

We couldn't have done it without the help of so many of you lovely people! The team would like to dedicate the award to everyone who gave their time and energy to make this project a success. THANK YOU!

Hazy Days of Summer

If you haven't been up to see the garden in a while, you'll be surprised by how large and luscious it has become. Many of the Nasturtiums and petunias have filled out the beds, bringing bursts of colour to the formerly drab stretch of pathway over the bridge, and lots of the plants are starting to produce fruit.

Hot dry weather is in our near future. Please, grab a spare bucket and give the garden a drink!

Furniture coming to the LIVINGbridge!

Furniture Coming to the LIVINGbridge

Every year, MADE in Edmonton and the Works festival hold the Street Furniture Competition!
Some of the benches are being donated to the LIVINGbridge this year!
A place to sit and read a book at eat your lunch perhaps!? We think so!

Notice

Notice:

The demolition of the Canada Post Office is to commence soon.

They will be putting up a fence on the bridge. Three beds (1,4,9) will be inaccessible to the public for approximately for three weeks. They will be cared and tended by Ledcor or the LIVINGbridge team.

Do you like Nasturtiums?

If so, they are growing well! Grab a few leaves for your salad tonight.

They are a edible flower! If you like spicy/peppery greens you will most definitely enjoy!
